"TODOS SOMOS CHARLIE HEBDO" - IDIOTS WILL NOT STOP WORLD PROGRESS

Satire is important. Cartoonist are now stronger.

It seems daily that we're reminded about the idiocracies existing in our species. Certainly, there is no shortage of issues affecting our planet that contradict the brilliance of humanity.

For errant reasonings or rather merely 'greedy rationalizations' other than any pure sound logic, we continue to burn fossil fuels in order to create energy. Thus, we are consciously causing both the poisoning of our oceans and global warming. We continue to ruin our bodies through the consumption of generally malproduced and overly processed subsidized foods. There's too much dangerous medicine going on. The honeybees are quickly leaving.

And then, there are those continuing social maladies of racism (ethnocentrism), rampant jingoism, income disparities amongst the masses, sexism, homophobia, and the many deficiencies seen due to lackings in diversity and/or the inadequate representation(s) of all sorts of human populations in the realms of politics, art, and mainstream media, etc...

Of course, there's also extreme religious fundamentalism - like in the form of radical Islam.

In such a world, we had four of France's most respected and brave satrical cartoonists: Jean Cabut; Stephane Charbonnier; Bernard Verlhac; and Georges Wolinski. These four individuals along with six other employees from the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, in addition to two police officers, were all shot dead in Paris yesterday at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists. This act was in retaliation to the magazine's continued satirical cartoon publications portraying the prophet Muhammad and thus generating the ire of sick fanatics.

A note for these intellectual cowards: Know that your act has created the loss of your fight.
